Since I've not seen it here yet; Firefly. Wouldn't call it underrated since it has a pretty big fanbase these days, but it still doesn't get talked about a lot. Also isn't terribly long. 14 episodes + 1 movie so you can get through it in a weekend. Have fun man

no idea if its underrated, i just know that i've ignored it for a long time because it thought the promo trailer was boring: The Expanse. I think its a great show to binge because it moves slowly at times as there is much information to convey. this would probably make people switch off, or just forget to watch, when they have to wait another week for a new episode. but if one can binge it, its a great experience. Awesome visuals with imho almost realistic space flight and battle.

Stargate Universe got a bad rep somehow but I thought it was the best series in the franchise. Also Final Space was pretty neat but got quite some hate.

Since nobody mentioned it, Babylon 5. If you can get past first season which is really slow, you'll probably love it. It ran for 5 seasons, with a couple of movies and a spin of series. Aruguably, Deep Space 9 was a rip off of Babylon 5. Even some od the characters are similarily named.

Dark Matter: one of the very best narrative experiences. also damn good Scifi that makes you think. and it was written by the creator of stargate; so you know good pedigree.

Blake's Seven. Still on YouTube. Dated at forty years now, but as dark and unpleasantly "Shakespear in Space" as you can get. When the US had Star Trek and all that, we had this because our idea of the future wasn't as nice, and it seems that we were right with the way things are going.
